I had allot of trouble to get this adapter to work in Linux, but so farI managed to get it to work in both Fedora, Ubuntu and Crunchbang. InopenSUSE it was different, but I might have a solution for it now aswell, so will try it this weekend. Anyway, what you need to do is tocompile ndiswrapper from source and before that you need to apply apatch to ntoskernalio.c located in the ndiswrapper/driver folder. Moreinfo on that 'here' (and 'here.' ((third post, but edit ntoskernalio.cfirst!)The suse patch didnt work so skip that one, instead try installkmod-ndiswrapper after you are done with making ndiswrapper.

Hey, my wife has a cousin in Malmo that works forMercedes, maybe we can work something as compensation;-)So I found the file you referred to and edited. Did the patching, andthe compiling.
Everything was looking good.I ran the ndiswrapper over again. Ndiswrapper -ma, etc.But nothing.
I pulled the. thing out of the port and plugged itback in and something happened. Can't quite tell, looks like an icon toinstall a package. I pops up and goes away just as fast.

After some tinkering with ndiswrapper and openSUSE 11.4 in virtualbox, Inoticed things are not that similar like the rest of the distros outthere that I got this USB-network adapter to work on.I successfully installed ndiswrapper with both the kernel and susepatch this time and the driver is installed as well.
Ok, so it seems that the error has to do with the patch ofntoskernelio.c. I appended the code to the bottom of the file and justchecked to see that it was in fact there and it is. So I'm a littlestumped why it's having a problem with that.I noticed that my ver of ndiswrapper was 1.55 and yours (and thedownloaded ver) was 1.56. The guideimpli.I recently added a switch to my home network due to some new hardwareneeding internet access. When I did this I had to make a new CAT5e cablefor the port that my opensuse PC is connected to. Ever since doing thisit will not detect the internet connection. At first I just thought Ihad incorrectly spliced the CAT5e but I replaced the ends and the switchlights up on the port the PC is hooked up to so it sees the PC but thePC still says that it is not connected.

I have just moved back to Ubuntu from Windows 7 and a few months ago, I bought a NETGEAR WNA3100 wireless adapter because my old adapter had broken. I plugged in my adapter and it doesn't seem to work, I also used the windows 7 drivers for it and tried them on the program 'Windows Wireless Drivers' and they don't seem to recognize the device. However I have heard you need XP drivers but I can't seem to find them on the internet nor find them on the CD.Could anyone help me get my wireless adapter to work? Any help is greatly appreciate.P.S I do have internet connection though I have to tether my phone to my computer and then connect my phone to my router.
I had exactly the same problem with my WNA3100 and Ubuntu 11.04After two weeks of trying all suggestions I could find on the net, I succeeded. I hardly know anything about Linux and found it quite simple.
